The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed in regards to the higher amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office focused on service the area daily. The service point created for intervention ordeals a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tough with the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to enable the servicing of all shoppers and enhance usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency website said.
